¯ KIANTONE — On Aug. 14 at approximately 6:55 p.m., a vehicle occupied by Benjamin M. Gray, 27, of Sinclairville was stopped on Route 60 in the town of Kiantone. Following an investigation assisted by Sheriff’s K9 Drake, Gray was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine, a meth pipe and controlled medication without a prescription.

Gray was charged with two counts of seventh degree possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in the town of Kiantone and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ WESTFIELD — Katelin M. Marzka, 22, of North East, Pa. was charged with multiple counts of driving while intoxicated on Aug. 16. At 11:08 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies observed a vehicle to be driving erratically and making several lane violations on Route 5 in the town of Westfield. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator to be Marzka.

Following an investigation into the incident, deputies arrested and charged Marzka with aggravated DWI (blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater), DWI, failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely and open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Marzka will answer her charges in Westfield Town Court.

¯ RIPLEY — On Aug. 17 at about 6:40 p.m., deputies and Ripley Fire/EMS responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Route 20 in the town of Ripley. Upon arrival, deputies found Jeremiah A. Lyons, 19, of Clinton, Ohio behind the wheel.

Further investigation revealed that Lyons was allegedly operating a motor vehicle on a New York state highway while being impaired by drugs. Lyons was charged with driving while ability impaired — drugs and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on pre-arraignment bail.

¯ RIPLEY — Angela M. Garigal, 41, of Fredonia was arrested for multiple charges due to driving while intoxicated. On Tuesday at about 1:06 a.m., deputies responded to a one vehicle property damage crash on Route 76 in the town of Ripley. Deputies identified the operator of the involved vehicle as Garigal.

Following an investigation into the incident, deputies arrested and charged Garigal with DWI, DWI per se, speed unreasonable and prudent and move from lane unsafely. Garigal will answer her charges in Ripley Town Court.

¯ HANOVER — On Tuesday at 1:11 a.m., deputies observed a vehicle commit traffic violations on Routes 5 and 20 in the town of Hanover. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as William E. Sinagra, 20, of Crafton, Pa.

Deputies said the vehicle operated by Sinagra had been previously reported stolen. After an investigation, Sinagra was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, failure to dim headlights and moving from lane unsafely. Sinagra was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on bail.

¯ On Thursday at 1:09 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle in the town of Dunkirk for speeding on Vineyard Drive. During the traffic stop, the operator, Hamza M. Moussa, 19, of Buffalo was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana.

Moussa was charged with speed in zone and unlawful possession of marijuana and is to appear in Dunkirk Town Court on a later date to answer the charges.
