¯ A Wexford, Pa. man faces a driving while intoxicated charge after rolling his vehicle Saturday night in the town of North Harmony.
Deputies responded to a rollover with injury report on Route 394 at 6:22 p.m. Saturday. They found the operator of the vehicle, William E. Hospodor Jr., 25, had attempted to make a right hand turn at a high rate of speed and lost control. The vehicle then left the roadway and entered a ditch. Further investigation found Hospodor was operating the vehicle while impaired by a combination of alcohol and drugs.
Hospodor was taken into custody and brought before the Town of North Harmony Court on the charges of DWI-alcohol/drugs, speed not reasonable and prudent, and failure to take a breath test. Hospodor was arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
¯ Driving a lawn tractor while allegedly intoxicated earned a Fredonia man a driving while intoxicated charge Saturday.
Deputies responded to the Chestnut Road area at about 2:58 p.m. for the report of an intoxicated male operating a lawn tractor in the area. They found William Cortes Jr., 60, operating the tractor on the road. After determining he was indeed intoxicated, deputies arrested Cortes and booked him for DWI, along with unregistered motor vehicle, operating without insurance and uninspected motor vehicle charges. Cortes was released on his own recognizance and is due back in town of Pomfret court at a later date.
