COLLINS — On Oct. 23 at roughly 9:30 p.m., state troopers responded to a domestic disturbance complaint on Main Street. Andrew Knopf, 29, of Collins reportedly shoved the victim to the floor and damaged her cell phone, while the victim’s child was in proximity. Knopf was arrested for fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. He was processed at State Police Collins, taken to Collins Town Court and released on his own recognizance.

LEON — On Oct. 29 at approximately 8:16 p.m., state troopers received a complaint of an intoxicated driver on Dewey Road in Perrysburg. The motor vehicle in question allegedly left the scene after damaging the complainant’s property. Troopers later located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Kellogg Hill Road in Leon. The driver, Eric Moffit, 53, of Leon, allegedly showed signs of intoxication during initial contact. Moffit subsequently failed a series of standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI. He was transported to State Police Collins with a BAC of .14 percent. The property owner declined to pursue criminal charges against Moffit.

SOUTH DAYTON — On Nov. 3 at around 1:55 a.m., state troopers conducted a traffic stop on Mill Street for multiple vehicle and traffic violations. During initial contact with the driver, Clint Catchot, 25, of Perrysburg, troopers observed alleged signs of intoxication. Catchot subsequently failed a series of standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested for Aggravated DWI. He was transported to State Police Collins for processing with a BAC of .24 percent, before being turned over to a sober third party.

PERRYSBURG — On Nov. 6 at roughly 2:39 a.m., state troopers responded to a domestic disturbance on Division Street. The suspect, Steven Nasewytewa, 30, of Perrysburg, reportedly threatened the victim with a kitchen knife. Further investigation revealed Nasewytewa was in possession of brass knuckles. He was arrested for second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Nasewytewa was arraigned in Perrysburg Town Court and taken to Cattaraugus County Jail.

COLLINS — On. Nov. 8 at approximately 7 p.m., state troopers received a complaint of a domestic disturbance on West Becker Road. Matthew Mescall, 37, of Collins, reportedly struck and shoved the victim to the ground, before pushing his forearm on the victim’s neck, obstructing the victim’s ability to breathe. The victim’s children were in proximity and witnessed the incident. Mescall was arrested for second-degree harassment, criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child. He was processed at State Police Collins, arraigned at Collins Town Court and released on his own recognizance.

NORTH COLLINS — On Nov. 12 at around 8:20 p.m., state troopers responded to a domestic disturbance call on Brant Street. The suspect, Ian Johengen, 37, of North Collins, reportedly shoved two dressers down the stairs in the home, before applying his hands to the victim’s neck, obstructing the victim’s ability to breathe. During the altercation, the victim reportedly attempted to contact 911, and Johengen damaged the victim’s phone. Johengen was arrested for second-degree harassment, criminal obstruction of breathing and fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was processed at State Police Collins, arraigned at North Collins Town Court and taken to the Erie County Holding Center.
