¯ BROCTON — On Dec. 19 at 11:53 a.m., Kristin Zappie, 36, of Brocton allegedly cashed an altered check at a local bank. An arrest warrant was issued for Zappie on the charges of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny.

Zappie turned herself into the Sheriff’s office, where she was committed to Chautauqua County Jail pending an arraignment with the Centralized Arraignment Program.

¯ WESTFIELD — On Jan. 9 at about 10:16 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies observed a vehicle make several lane violations on Route 394 in the town of Westfield. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as Catherine A. Yager, 74, of Eden.

Following an investigation into the incident, deputies arrested and charged Yager with DWI, DWI per se, failure to keep right, move from lane unsafely, and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. Yager will answer her charges in Westfield Town Court at a later date.

¯ SHERMAN — On Tuesday at approximately 10:12 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Route 76 in the town of Sherman. Deputies located the vehicle and identified the operator as Jacob Duckworth, 22, of Sherman.

Following an investigation into the incident, deputies arrested and charged Duckworth with aggravated DWI (blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater), DWI, failure to keep right, move from lane unsafely and speed not reasonable. Duckworth will answer his charges in Sherman Town Court.
