¯ STOW — On March 1, troopers pulled over on a vehicle on I-86 for a traffic violation. While speaking to the driver, Matthew Golombek, 24, of Bemus Point, troopers allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of Golombek and his vehicle revealed a bag containing marijuana and a container with THC wax. Golombek was issued an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana.

¯ ELLERY — On March 1 at approximately 12:30 p.m., troopers responded to the Ellery Overlook Rest Area on I-86 for a report of a suspicious male. Witnesses reported the male, later identified as Marcos Diaz-Burgos, 35, of Lorain, Ohio, allegedly pulled into the rest area, urinated in the parking lot and exhibited signs of being impaired. Troopers placed Diaz-Burgos under arrest after he failed several field sobriety tests and transported him to State Police Jamestown, where he provided a breath sample of .09. Diaz-Burgos was charged with DWI and as Diaz-Burgos had two suspensions on his license, he was additionally charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Diaz-Burgos was then processed and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, pending arraignment.

¯ JAMESTOWN — On March 3, troopers conducted a road check on Route 60. While speaking to the driver of a vehicle, Iris Bonilla, 28, of Jamestown, troopers allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside Bonilla’s vehicle. A search of Bonilla and her vehicle revealed bags containing over six grams of marijuana. Bonilla was issued an appearance ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana.

¯ JAMESTOWN — On March 3, troopers pulled over a vehicle on Route 60 for a traffic violation. While speaking to the driver, John Wall, 40, of Sherman, troopers allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of Wall and his vehicle revealed a pipe containing marijuana residue, two modified straws containing white residue and a crushed Vicodin pill. Wall was placed under arrest for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of controlled substances by ultimate users original container. Wall was processed at State Police Jamestown and issued appearance tickets and a traffic ticket.

¯ JAMESTOWN — On March 2 at roughly 12:30 p.m., after an alleged incident on Hall Avenue, deputies arrested Matthew E. Ribbing, 42, of Jamestown for DWI, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed operator, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and refusal to prescreen. Ribbing also had an active family court warrant for failure to pay child support issued by Chautauqua County Family Court.

¯ SHERIDAN — On March 3 at around 4:35 a.m., deputies responded to an address on Route 5 for a report of a disorderly female damaging items in the residence. On arrival, it was found that Ashley J. Gambino, 27, of Sheridan, had allegedly damaged items in the residence. Gambino was taken into custody and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief.
