≤ JAMESTOWN — On April 19, troopers pulled over a vehicle on East 2nd Street for a traffic violation. While troopers were approaching the vehicle, David Miller, 65, of Jamestown, allegedly put his vehicle in reverse and struck the trooper’s vehicle, causing damage. Miller was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with DWI and unlawful possession of marijuana, when a pipe containing burnt marijuana was located inside Miller’s vehicle. Miller was transported to State Police Jamestown, where he provided a breath sample of .28. Miller was then processed, issued tickets and released. Miller is scheduled to appear in the city of Jamestown Court later in the month.

≤ GREENHURST — On April 17, troopers responded to numerous civilian reports of an erratic driver. Troopers stopped the suspect vehicle when they located it on Strunk Road. The driver, James Butterfield, 62, of Cleveland, Ohio, was placed under arrest after allegedly failing several sobriety tests. Butterfield was charged with aggravated DWI and transported to State Police Jamestown, where he provided a breath sample of .27. Butterfield was then processed, issued tickets and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, pending arraignment.
