JAMESTOWN  — Lifelong learners turned out in droves for the Medical Pathways Career Fair held in mid-November by the Adult Education division of the Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES. Nearly two dozen regional agencies and employers participated in the job fair.

Attendees met employers, explored training programs and learned about local healthcare job opportunities including certified nursing assistants licensed practical nursing, clerical positions, medical technicians and environmental services.

The representatives engaged each job seeker by asking questions, reviewing resumes, handing out paper applications and encouraging the attendees to follow up with them at their worksites.

“Each of the employers were so interested and happy to talk about jobs available in the area,” said one fair attendee.

Another community member remarked on the positive atmosphere, saying “The representatives were so cordial and encouraging to the participants.”

Participants included: Venture Forthe, Jamestown Business College, Chautauqua Opportunities Inc., The Resource Center, The Chautauqua Center, Hultquist Place, Heritage Group, WCA Hospital, Alstar EMS, Aspire, Willcare, Radio Jamestown, Aftercare Nursing Services, Jamestown Community College, the E2CCB LPN program, Compassionate Home Care, Chautauqua Works and more.
