Tis’ the season for giving, and Five Star Bank has done just that! It recently selected the Dunkirk City School District to be a recipient of its annual “Coats for Kids” program. Five Star Bank purchased 100 brand-new winter coats and generously donated them to the four elementary buildings.

Sherri Kaleta from Five Star Bank personally delivered the jackets, which came in a variety of colors, styles, and sizes. They will be distributed through the Dunkirk Teachers’ Association ‘Project Kids’ program. When a social worker, teacher, or other staff member notices that a child is in need of a jacket, the director of the coat program is notified, and a plan is put into place for distribution. Students and parents are very appreciative of this extra assistance, especially during the holiday season.

A big thanks goes out to Five Star Bank for caring about the kids in the Dunkirk community and helping them stay warm this winter!
