Fredonia Place continues as Opera House series sponsor
The 1891 Fredonia Opera House has announced Fredonia Place is sponsoring the Opera House Art & Architecture On Screen Series for a second year.
“We are very excited that Fredonia Pace has agreed to sponsor our Art & Architecture On Screen series again this year,” Opera House Executive Director Rick Davis said. “Fredonia Place is well-respected within our community; and many of its residents are members and patrons of the Opera House. We are proud to partner with the organization.”
Art & Architecture On Screen is one of the Opera House’s high definition satellite transmission series. The ground-breaking series brings the world’s greatest works of art, and their environs, to cinemas and performing arts centers nationwide. It provides unprecedented big screen access into the lives of renowned artists, their art and the fabulous museums and galleries that are not only the custodians of such masterpieces, but works of art in their own right. This year’s series features five unique programs, three of which are still to be presented: “The Artist’s Garden: American Impressionism,” on Thursday, Mar. 30; “Michelangelo: Love and Death,” on Thursday, June 15; and a special event featuring Filmmaker Michael Maglaras presenting his latest work “America Rising: Arts of the Gilded Age,” on Thursday, June 26.
“We are proud to be a sponsor of this fantastic and unique program. So many of our residents and their families, along with our Fredonia community enjoy the events that the Opera House provides. It is truly a gem for the entire Chautauqua County area to enjoy,” noted Michael Ferguson, Fredonia Place director of sales and marketing.
Fredonia Place is the premier assisted living/memory care community in Chautauqua County offering 24-hour care in a home-style facility. It is located on 50 Howard St. in the village of Fredonia.
The 1891 Fredonia Opera House is a member-supported, not-for-profit performing arts center located inside Village Hall in downtown Fredonia.
