Credit Union holds food drive

MAYVILLE — The Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union in Mayville held a food drive during the month of May for their Youth Month Community Challenge.

Thanks to the Credit Union and its members, six bags of non-perishable food was collected and donated to the Mayville Food Pantry to assist those in need.

The Mayville Food Pantry serves those in need within the Chautauqua Lake Central School District. The Food Pantry is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Credit Union employees Heidi Erickson and Sorena Gilkinson presented the collected food to Food Pantry Coordinator Deborah Marsala.

The Mayville Food Pantry is located at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 99 S. Erie St., Mayville. Also located at the location is St. Paul’s Thrift Shop, open Monday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The last Saturday of the month the Thrift Shop holds a $3 bag sale. Item donations for the Thrift Shop are gratefully accepted on the days and hours it is open or by calling St. Paul’s Episcopal Church office at 753-2172 for information.
