Merritt Estate Winery awarded new medals in Indiana
FORESTVILLE — Merritt Estate Winery earned five awards at the 26th annual INDY International Wine Competition in May. Bella Rosa, Chautauqua Blush and their Vidal Ice Wine were awarded Silvers in three distinguished categories. Bella Ice was awarded a medal for Best of Class and a Double Gold in the American Late Harvest and Ice Wine category.
This is the third consecutive competition that Bella Ice has won Double Gold; on the east coast, west coast and now in Indiana.
Merritt Estate Winery stood with 2,000 other entries from 11 different countries and 40 U.S. states to have their wine evaluated by a panel of distinguished judges. In the true heart of America, wine writers, winemakers, chefs, sommeliers, winegrowers, enologists, distributors, consumers and retailers joined together to recognize these well-traveled wines.
The INDY International Wine Competition has become an organization that provides professional feedback from wine experts and awards medals that are highly regarded in the eyes of wine consumers. The medals that were awarded to Merritt Estate Winery are proudly displayed in their tasting room at the winery.
