FINDLEY LAKE — The LECOM Health Challenge a Web.com Tour event, returned to Peek’n Peak Resort for its second consecutive year in July 2017. The success of the initial two years brought continued professional golf, tourism, and economic development to Chautauqua County.

The achievement and success of this tournament would not be possible without the vital support from the community, volunteers, spectators and sponsors. A sponsor partnership emerging from last year’s tournament, between BLAIR and the LECOM Health Challenge continues to strengthen and prosper each year.

It all began with a simple yet ingenious vision. As a sponsor, BLAIR took the opportunity to assist in promoting the LECOM Health Challenge, by directly placing an ad for the tournament on the inside cover of their men’s summer catalog. The BLAIR catalog provided extended exposure of the tournament by capturing a captive audience of 850,000 homes nationwide. The vision grew into a unique commitment, when BLAIR generously decided that with each order placed, they would donate $1, to the LECOM Health Challenge.

In response to their summer catalog sales for 2017, BLAIR has donated a grand total of $31,000 to the LECOM Health Challenge. Once again this year, this successful initiative drove numbers which exceeded expectations.

Michelle Turner, vice president of Marketing and Tournament Director states “We at the Chautauqua Region Economic Development Corporation are excited about our ongoing partnership with Mark, Kara and their Team at Blair. Their strong support of the tournament and commitment to the Community will help us to continually showcase Chautauqua County and keep this tournament growing for many years to come.”

Tournament proceeds benefit the LECOM Student Scholarship Fund, Mikey’s Way Foundation, Jamestown Community College Student Scholarship Funds, and Erie Home for Children and Adults.
