Heritage announces new development director

Melissa Trusler

Melissa Trusler has been named the Director of Development at Heritage Ministries. Trusler has served in various roles growing with Heritage over the past 14 years. She has served as a Senior Housing Counselor for the past three years with Heritage, assisting area seniors in assisted and independent living choices as well as assisting the marketing department. Trusler was also a head teacher with Heritage House Childcare and Learning Center.

“We are excited to have Melissa join our team at Heritage Ministries as the new Director of Development. We believe her expertise, prior experience and passion will add tremendous value to our organization and our residents. Her compassion and heart for Heritage will help further promote our mission of providing Hope, Dignity and Purposeful Living,” said Lisa Haglund, Heritage Vice President of Marketing and Development.

Trusler will be responsible for designing and activating fund-raising strategies through giving initiatives including major gifts, events, foundation, and individual and corporate giving programs.

“I feel blessed and honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve Heritage in this new and exciting capacity,” said Trusler. “I look forward to becoming more involved in our communities on behalf of Heritage as we enter an exciting new period in our rich history.”

Melissa currently resides in Falconer with her husband Jeff and their daughters Irys and Abbi. She is a recent graduate of the Family Church Ministry Training Center two-year program and is very active in the Ministry of Helps at her church.
