Ralph Swanson

Gowanda — Community Bank N.A. is pleased to announce the promotion of Ralph Swanson to district manager of the banks’ west market. He brings to the position more than 35 years of experience in the financial industry.

In his new role, Swanson will oversee six Community Bank N.A. branches within the bank’s west market, including Gowanda, North Collins, Orchard Park, Silver Creek, Springville’s Cascade Drive and North Buffalo Street. He has been with Community Bank N.A. since 2012 when the bank merged with HSBC and has served the Western New York market since 1984.

Vice President, Regional Retail Banking Manager Eric Garvin said. “With a long history of assisting this community, no one knows it better than Ralph. I know that his expertise and leadership will drive the continued success of all six branches he’ll oversee.”

Swanson most recently served as branch manager of the Gowanda location. During his tenure with HSBC, he spent time as business relationship manager, branch manager and district manager. Outside of the office, Swanson is active in his community as vice president of the board of directors for Housing Options Made Easy.

Swanson earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the State University of New York at Fredonia. He resides in Gowanda with his wife, Karen.
