Westfield Fire Department seeking dugouts for       convention

The Fire Department of Westfield will be hosting the 2017 Southwestern Association of Volunteer Firefighters Convention. Firefighters from Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Alleghany and Erie counties will be coming to Westfield from Aug. 2-5. A number of different events will take place during the convention such as first aid and firefighting contests, training activities, parades, a dance, and vendor displays.

In order to accommodate the large number of firefighters expected to attend, the Fire Department of Westfield is seeking 35 properties in Westfield which could be rented to establish dugouts. Ideally these locations would have a single lot, and a garage that can accommodate 1-2 vehicles.

Property owners who would be interested in renting their property are asked to contact Ed Kneer at 753-0494 or Dave Walker at 269-4418 as soon as possible.
