Horrigan plans local county address

Chautauqua County Executive Vince Horrigan will deliver his State of the County address on Thursday at the Clarion Hotel Marina & Conference Center, 30 Lake Shore Drive East, Dunkirk. Gowanda Wrestlers to host pancake breakfast March 5

Come support our local wrestlers! The Gowanda varsity and JV wrestling teams will be holding a pancake breakfast and chinese auction at the GCS cafeteria on Sunday, March 5 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.

Members of the Gowanda Panthers Wrestling Team are looking to attend a training camp this summer. The camp is held at Edinboro College in Edinboro, Pennsylvania. The Team Camp is held from June 25 to 29. This camp is designed for serious wrestling teams looking to broaden their wrestling skills. The unique camp blends techniques from the warm-up to the post-match analysis and is provided by top notch collegiate coaches, nationally recognized high school coaches, current elite athletes and even a four-time Olympic medalist! Your support helps our wrestlers make camp a reality.

The cost of a breakfast is $5. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased from any wrestler. There will also be youth wrestling NYWAY tourney going on during the breakfast.

Town of Dunkirk Zoning/Planning workshop

The Town of Dunkirk Zoning and Planning board will hold a workshop at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23 at the Town Hall, 4737 Willow Road. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss planning for solar energy systems.
