Coffee with Mayor Landis Wednesday

Fredonia Mayor Athanasia Landis invites members of the public to her village hall office on the first Wednesday of every month between 9 and 10 a.m. to discuss any and all issues and concerns. Coffee and/or tea will be provided.

CCIDA to meet Tuesday

The County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency Board of Directors will hold a meeting at 201 W Third St., Jamestown, on Tuesday at 10 a.m., in the board room on the second floor.

Persia Comprehensive Plan Committee meeting today

The Town of Persia Comprehensive Plan Committee meeting will be held today at 6:30 p.m. This will take place in the Persia Town Hall, 8 W. Main St. in Gowanda.

Library discussion Tuesday

Dr. Theodore “Ted” Lee, professor of biology from SUNY Fredonia, will lead the Blue Marble Group discussion of the book “The Gene: An Intimate History” Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the main reading room at the Patterson Library in Westfield. It is written from a historical perspective and there are still three copies available at the library or it is available for purchase online.
