NCCF seeks nominations for Footprints Award

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation is accepting nominations for the George B. Weaver Jr. Footprints Award until March 24. Nominees should have a strong history of volunteerism, philanthropic endeavors (financial support not necessarily measured in number of dollars) and activities that have made an impact in the community. It is not a requirement that nominees have an affiliation with the NCCF.

Hanover Youth Recreation meeting Wednesday

An informational meeting for the proposed Hanover Youth Recreation program will be held Wednesday, March 22 at town hall at 7 p.m. All those interested in learning about the non-profit group, including those who may want to join, serve on its board or sign their children up for future activities, are encouraged to attend. The town of Hanover, the village of Silver Creek, and the Silver Creek and Forestville school districts will be involved.

Brocton Universal pre-k, kindergarten registration begins

Brocton Elementary School will issue registration packets for students eligible for the universal Pre-k and kindergarten classes for the 2017-18 school year on Monday March 20th through Friday March 24th between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. Along with the completed packets a copy of a birth certificate, documented immunization records, and proof of residency are required.

To be eligible for Pre-K children must turn 4 on or before December 1, 2017. To be eligible for kindergarten, children must turn 5 on or before December 1, 2017. If there are questions, call 792-2100.
