County Land Bank to meet

The Chautauqua County Land Bank Corp. will hold its next board meeting on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. in the main conference room of the Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk.

The monthly acquisition & disposition meeting of the CCLBC will be held prior at 8 a.m. at the same location.

The board meeting of the CCLBC is being conducted to discuss business associated with the acquisition and potential sale of property by CCLBC and other official business as required.

This meeting will also serve as its annual meeting.

County Planning Board to meet

The Chautauqua County Planning Board’s monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the CCIDA Board Room on the second floor of the BWB Building, 201 W. Third St., Jamestown.

Volunteers sought for Fredonia Visitor’s Booth

The Fredonia Chamber of Commerce is hoping to staff the Visitor’s Information Booth in Barker Common this summer.

Anyone interested in volunteering may contact the Fredonia Chamber office at 679-1565.

Chautauqua Lecture Series to appear on Access Channel 5

Access Channel 5 will be airing the 2016 Chautauqua Institution lecture series.

The following lectures will start on Saturday, with the last airing on March 10:

≤ 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. — Andrew Young, Bill Moyers, the Rev. Raphael Warnock and Dr. Oyleye Ndoye, “In Conversation;”

≤ 12:45 and 6:45 p.m. — David Saperstein, “Champions of Faith.”

Access Channel 5 is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Sherman and Westfield areas, and can be found on channel 5 with a cable converter or on 5.3 on digital televisions without a cable converter.

The program may also be viewed after the initial airing at the station’s website, http://accesschautauquacountytv.org.

Kindergarten, pre-K registration at Forestville School

The Forestville Elementary School is currently making plans for next year’s kindergarten and pre-K registrations.

Children who will be five years old by Dec. 1, 2017 are eligible for kindergarten. Children who will be four years old by Dec. 1, 2017 are eligible for pre-kindergarten.

Any parent who has not yet contacted the district and has a child who falls into either of these categories should call the elementary office at 965-2742. Kindergarten registration packets will be sent out the week of March 13. “Kindergarten Round Up” is scheduled for April 20 at 1 p.m. Pre-K information is forthcoming.
