The Portland Town Board meeting will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in the town hall.
Pine Valley School Creativity Night set for tonight
Bring the family to Creativity Night at the Pine Valley Elementary School tonight from 5 to 8 p.m.
Activities include a talent show from 5:30 p.m. until finished, located in the cafeteria; an autism awareness event (all evening) in room 29 and art activities – “Pose with Art” (all evening) in room 22.
Healthy snacks, drinks and pizza will be available for purchase.
There will be art show displays around the school (bulletin boards and dividers).
A clothing swap and Smoke/CO Detector give-away will take place in the gym. There is a limited supply.

Citizens for a Better Cassadaga to meet
The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will meet this Thursday, May 11 at 7 p.m. at the Cassadaga Library, 18 Maple Ave. Upcoming projects such as Ames Common beautification, a community calendar and the Strawberry Social will be discussed. Exciting news regarding grants will also be announced. New members are welcome.
The town of Portland will close Bear Lake Road from Ellicott to Burr Road today, beginning at 8 a.m. until work is completed. The closure is to replace two culverts.

The Silver Creek-Hanover-Forestville Youth Center Association Inc. board of directors will hold a meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Hanover town hall.
Anderson Lee Library to present an Eat Smart, NY class Thursday
The Anderson Lee Library will present an Eat Smart, NY class on Thursday at 10 a.m. The library is located at 43 Main St., Silver Creek. The topic will be announced. No sign-up is required. The event will include food tasting.
The Brocton Teachers’ Association is a Meet the Candidate Forum tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. This is an opportunity for the community to meet the candidates who are running for the Board of Education for the Brocton Central School District.
The Chautauqua County Land Bank Corp. (CCLBC) will hold its next Monthly Board Meeting today at 8:30 a.m. at the Main Conference Room of the Chautauqua County Airport at Robert H. Jackson Field, 3163 Airport Dr., Jamestown. The board meeting of the CCLBC is being conducted to discuss business associated with the acquisition and potential sale of property by CCLBC and other official business as required (agendas will be provided at the meetings).
