Hanover to hold public hearing on Forestville Fire District
The town of Hanover will hold a special meeting and public hearing on May 15 at town hall at 7 p.m. for the purpose of the resolution of the establishment of a Forestville Fire District. Residents encouraged to attend.
Animal rabies immunization free clinic set
An animal rabies immunization free clinic will be held this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Westfield Town Highway building, 118 Chestnut St., for dogs, cats, domesticated ferrets three months of age and older.
All animals must be accompanied by an adult. All dogs must be on a leash; cats in a container (i.e. kennel, box, duffel bag). Those who attend are asked to know the age and breed of the animal and the name of the township where the owner resides.
Certificates will be provided to owners and town clerks. Bring only healthy animals. Previous vaccination records are required for each animal. The attending vet is Dr. Katie Ball. For details, call 753-4481.
Marybelle Beigh to appear on Fresh Perspectives
Gail Erb, host of Fresh Perspectives, will have guest Marybelle Beigh on the program. Beigh is the historian in the village of Westfield and will discuss “Peace Pilgrim.” The show will air Saturday through Friday, May 19 at 3 and 9 p.m. each day.
Access Channel 5 is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Sherman and Westfield areas, and can be found on Channel 5 with a cable converter or on 5.3 on digital televisions without a cable converter.

Cathy Young
to appear on Chautauqua Sunrise
Chautauqua Sunrise will feature Cathy Young as the guest on May 13. Young is a member of the New York State Senate, 57th district.
Host Doc Hamels will conduct the program.
The program airs live from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday morning and is rebroadcast daily until Friday at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. The guest is subject to change.
Chautauqua Sunrise is shown live on Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems covering the following communities: Brocton, Cassadaga, Chautauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on Channel 5. In Dunkirk, Falconer, Forestville, Hanover, Irving, Jamestown, Lakewood and Silver Creek the program is on Channel 19.
Channel numbers shown are for subscribers using a cable converter. Digital channels for televisions without a converter will vary by community. The show originates at the Access Channel 5 studio in Mayville.

12:45 and 6:45 p.m.: Sergio Fajardo and Carolina Barco, “Tuesday Morning Lecture.”

Forestville Class of 2018 chicken barbecue set for May 16
The Forestville Central School Class of 2018 will hold a budget vote day chicken BBQ on Tuesday, May 16 from 2:30-5 p.m. or sold out.
The event will take place in the Forestville High School back parking lot and includes eat-in or take-out dining options. The cost is $9 pre-sale at the High School office or $10 at the door. The menu includes 1/2 a barbecued chicken, salt potatoes, pasta salad and roll. Eat-in meals include beverages.
