Ripley Public
Library Board adjusts meeting time
The Ripley Public Library will be holding its regular board meeting on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. instead of the usual 6:30 p.m.
Sheridan dog owners asked to license them
Residents in the town of Sheridan who own dogs are reminded that they need to license their pets, as mandated by the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets. To do so, see Town Clerk Julie Szumigala in town hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
CCIDA meeting slated
The County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) Board of Directors will hold a meeting in the Board Room (second floor), at CCIDA, 201 W. Third St., Jamestown, on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
History breakfast to be held Memorial Day Weekend
Forest Lodge No. 166 F. & A.M. and Town of Pomfret Historian Todd Langworthy are presenting a special breakfast May 27 from 8-10 a.m. to honor those who have served and sacrificed for the country’s freedom.
The breakfast will be buffet style with french toast, fresh scrambled eggs, sausages, fruit cocktail and juice. A historical presentation will be given by Langworthy from approximately 9-9:30 a.m., followed by a question and answer session. The upstairs lodge room will be open for tours and historical artifacts from the early days of the town and the lodge will be on display. Cost for the morning activities will be $5 per person.
Portland Planning Board to meet
The Town of Portland Planning Board will hold its next regular meeting on May 30, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at 87 W. Main St., Brocton. A Public Hearing will also be held prior to the meeting. The public is welcome to attend.
Ripley Public Library
to hold yard sale
The Friends of the Ripley Public Library will be hosting a Yard Sale at the library Friday and Saturday.
The times are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. There are a lot of nice items for sale.
The event will help support the Friends of the Ripley Library and get a great bargain for yourself.
