CVCS BOE to

meet today

A special meeting of the Board of Education of the Cassadaga Valley Central School District will be held today at 7 a.m. in the Board of Education Conference Room.

Portland cemetery association to meet

The Portland Evergreen Cemetery Association a not-for-profit corporation will be holding its annual membership meeting on Sunday, May 28 at 5 p.m. This meeting will be for the election of directors and any other business that may come before it. It will held at the Portland Fire Hall, Route 20, Portland. Anyone interested in the maintenance and management of the cemetery is invited to attend.

Terry Ingersoll to Appear on ‘Fresh Perspectives’

Gail Erb, host of “Fresh Perspectives,” will have guest Terry Ingersoll on the program. Ingersoll will discuss bike racing and athletic nutrition. The show will air Saturday, May 27 through Friday, June 2 at 3 and 9 p.m. each day.

Access Channel 5 is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Sherman, and Westfield areas, and can be found on channel 5 with a cable converter or on 5.3 on digital televisions without a cable converter.

The program may also be viewed after the initial airing at the station’s website http://accesschautauquacountytv.org.

Ripley Public Library

to hold yard sale

The Friends of the Ripley Public Library will be hosting a Yard Sale at the library Friday May 26 and Saturday May 27. The times are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. There are a lot of nice items for sale so please come out and support the Friends of the Ripley Library and get a great bargain for yourself.

Attic and Seller Days registration nears

The last day to register your yard sale for Attic & Seller Days is today. You can register your yard sale at: Pucci’s Carpet One Furniture & Bedding, 112 E. Main St., Fredonia, or Sir Printsalot, 1 Park Place, (Russo Building), Fredonia.

Lakeshore Humane Society in need

of supplies

The Lakeshore Humane Society, at 431 E. Chestnut St. in Dunkirk, is in sore need of large-dog harnesses and sturdy leashes, due to some of the residents being mischievous and eating theirs. Donations may be dropped off Saturday during the Adoption Day and Open House, held from noon to 4 p.m., where community members can be thanked with licks, hugs, meows, etc. (from the animals, not the volunteers).
