Revitalize Dunkirk to meet Thursday

The monthly meeting of Revitalize Dunkirk will be held today at the SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk.

The planned speaker is Tiffany Yerico, local economic development coordinator at the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation. She will provide an overview of the LED and its relation to the community, as well as seeking input for priory concerns of Revitalize Dunkirk.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Membership applications and T-shirts will be available. All members of the community are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Dunkirk School Board to hold

special meeting

The Dunkirk Board of Education will hold a special meeting today at 2 p.m. in the large group instruction room at the high school, 75 W. Sixth St., regarding personnel matters.

Pomfret Clerk’s office closed

The Pomfret Clerk’s office will be closing at 1 p.m. today and Friday.

Sheridan park updates planned

The town of Sheridan invites interested residents and community members to two informational and input sessions in regard to the 2017 Consolidated Funding Application for Sheridan Bay Park.

The first is today at 7:15 p.m. at Sheridan Town Hall and the second will take place on Monday at 4 p.m. at Sheridan Bay Park.

Lily Dale Endowment Fund Masquerade Ball planned for July 22

The Lily Dale Endowment Fund Masquerade Ball will be held Saturday, July 22 from 8:15 to 10 p.m. at the Lily Dale Auditorium. There is a $5 admission fee, which includes one door prize ticket and three auction tickets. Extra tickets will be available for purchase. The evening includes dance lessons, dancing to C&W, line dance, polka, rock ‘n roll; costume contests; music by EJ the DJ; 50/50 raffle and auctions. Refreshments and snacks will be available. Door prizes include gift certificates from local businesses and Lily Dale registered mediums. The gate fee is not included.
