Priest Appreciation Dinner set
The 19th Annual Priest Appreciation Dinner will be held on Sunday, Sept. 17 at Holy Trinity Church, Msgr. Bernardo Hall, 1032 Central Ave., Dunkirk, with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 4 p.m. and dinner at 5 p.m. This annual event honors priests, deacons, religious sisters and seminarians for their service to the Church and the community.

Dunkirk Picnic at the Point set at Point Gratiot for Sept. 10
The Dunkirk Picnic at the Point, will be held at Point Gratiot on Sunday, Sept. 10 from 1 to 7 p.m. Free hamburgers and hot dogs will be available until gone. The event includes basket raffle fun, 50/50 and music by “No Limit” from 1 to 4 p.m. and “La Krema” from 4 to 7 p.m.
Dinner, informational meeting for veterans and wounded veterans of Christ set for Sept. 11
Pastor Wes Tessey, VFW Chaplain, Vietnam Veteran, Purple Heart announces that there will be a free turkey dinner and informational meeting for veterans and wounded veterans for Christ on Monday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Steamburg United Methodist Church, 2642 Lebanon Road in Steamburg. There is never a charge or membership fees.

JCC to offer
courses at Seneca Nation
Jamestown Community College will offer two courses at Seneca Nation facilities in Irving and Salamanca this fall.
English Composition II and Children’s Literature, both three-credit courses, are open to Seneca Nation members as well as community residents. Classes meet in the Cattaraugus Early Childhood Learning Center in Irving and the Seneca Arts and Learning Center in Salamanca.
Classes will meet from 5-7:45 p.m. on Mondays. English Composition II meets Sept. 11 through Oct. 30. Children’s Literature begins Nov. 6 and concludes Dec. 18.
