Chautauqua Leadership Network Celebrates 25 Years

Chautauqua Leadership Network will be celebrating its 25th anniversary of training and developing community leaders. The celebration will take place at 21 Brix in Ripley this Saturday. The event will be from 7-10 p.m. There will be a “Best Class” Basket Auction and many other fun activities including the announcement of their new logo.

The Town of Portland Planning Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled.

Forestville Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners

There will be a special meeting of the Forestville Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners on tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Forestville Fire Station, located at 18 Chestnut St., Forestville.

Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church fall outside flea market and lunch set for Saturday

Fall flea market scheduled for Saturday

A fall outside flea market and lunch, is planned for Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church, Main St., Cherry Creek. It will include a silent basket auction and flea market. The meal will offer pulled chicken or pork sandwiches or hot dog with two sides, dessert and beverage for $9, starting at 11 a.m.

On Dec. 2, there will be an inside craft show for $10 a spot with table from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. throughout the church, with a cookie walk and lunch available.

County Executive Debate tonight

The public is invited to submit questions for the upcoming debate for County Executive between Mike Ferguson and George Borrello tonight at 7 p.m. at Spire Theater (317 E. Third St., Jamestown.)

Sponsored by the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots, this debate will be unique in that each candidate will be given the set of questions ahead of time for the debate.

Warner Place Open House

Warner Place Medical-Model Adult Day Health Care Program, located at 155 Aldren Avenue on the Lutheran Campus in Jamestown, will be having an open house on Thursday, Sept. 21, from 1 to 4 p.m. The event and tour will highlight all of the skilled nursing services offered by Warner Place during the day allowing registrants the freedom to remain home with their families in the evening. Light refreshments will be provided. The open house is free and open to the public.
