Rotary blood screening is today

Participation in the 33rd annual Dunkirk-Fredonia Rotary Blood Screening & Community Health Fair is good for your health and our community.

Brought to you by Brooks Memorial Hospital, TLC Health Network, Kaleida Health and Tim Hortons, this year’s Rotary fundraising event will be Saturday from 6:15 to 10 a.m. at Fredonia High School.

For only $45, your blood screening includes 21 clinical tests including a colorectal take-home test kit. Men may wish to add an optional prostate screening for just $25, and new this year is an optional diabetes screen for just $20.

Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church fall outside flea market and lunch set for today

A fall outside flea market and lunch, is planned for today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church, Main Street, Cherry Creek. It will include a silent basket auction and flea market. The meal will offer pulled chicken or pork sandwiches or a hot dog with two sides, dessert and beverage for $9, starting at 11 a.m.

On Dec. 2, there will be an inside craft show for $10 a spot with table from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. throughout the church, with a cookie walk and lunch available.

Sonia Pearl benefit set for today

A benefit for Sonia Perry Pearl is being held today from 2-7 p.m. at the Dunkirk Conference Grounds. Tickets for the lasagna dinner are $20 at the door. Live music provided along with beer, wine and hotdogs. Many large gift basket will be raffled off.

Chautauqua Leadership Network Celebrates 25 Years today

Chautauqua Leadership Network will be celebrating its 25th anniversary of training and developing community leaders. The celebration will take place at 21 Brix in Ripley this Saturday. The event will be from 7-10 p.m. There will be a “Best Class” Basket Auction and many other fun activities including the announcement of their new logo.
