Holiday Victorian Tea at the McClurg is Today
The Chautauqua County Historical Society will be hosting a Holiday High Tea at the historic McClurg Mansion in Moore Park, Westfield today as part of the Annual Christmas in the Village.
Patrons may feel as though they have stepped back in time as they enjoy delightful and delectable sandwiches, savories, sweets and beverages while basking in the rich and beautiful ambience of the mansion. Tea will be served from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Cost is $15. No reservations needed.
Family Breakfast Sunday
The next Sunday Family Breakfast will be held Sunday, Nov. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Forest Lodge No. 166 at 321 East Main St., Fredonia. This will be a special breakfast as Pomfret Town Historian Todd Langworthy will be in attendance to host a book signing of his local history books.
Langworthy will also have a number of historical displays up for guests to view, as well as the World War I Medal that was awarded to town veterans nearly 100 years ago.
This will be the only book signing Langworthy will be doing before Christmas, so those who wish to purchase books for friends and family as gifts should plan on attending.
Books will be signed in person by the author and a portion of the sales will be donated to the local Veterans Van to assist local veterans who need transportation for appointments. This all-you-can-eat breakfast will consist of eggs made to order, pancakes or french toast, sausages, fruit cocktail, toast, juice, milk, coffee and tea.
Adults and teenagers 13 and up $7.50, children 6-12 $3, kids 5 and under are free.
