Gathering for Athenex Wednesday

The Southern Tier Builders Association, the Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency and the Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism have set up an informational meet and greet regarding Athenex Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 2-3:30 p.m. at Jamestown Community College’s North County Training Center at 10785 Bennett Road.

Athenex representatives Rich Nassar, Mark Forell and Cynthia Metz are scheduled to be in attendance as well as Steven Heyborne, senior project manager from M+W Group, the construction manager and Justin Francis, project manager for the Pike Companies.

Ripley Library Players ready for new show

The Ripley Library Players are at it again and ready for another production of the “Murder on the Petulant Express.” The show is Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. at Quincy Cellars, located 10606 Route 20 near Stateline in Ripley. Tickets are available at Ripley Public Library and are $15 per ticket. Come enjoy this delightful production, nibble on some appetizers and receive one glass of wine or specialty beer. Additional beverages are available for purchase.

Prendergast Library to hold “Wine and Craft Night” Fundraiser

The Prendergast Library continues its fundraising efforts with its “Wine and Craft Night,” to be held on Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. The featured craft is a design-your-own birdhouse, made out of books. Admission is $20, which includes all refreshments and materials. Walk-ins are welcome. Call 484-7135 ext. 225 with any questions.

Reed staff to hold remote office hours in Dunkirk Dec. 7

Congressman Tom Reed’s staff will hold remote office hours in Dunkirk on Thursday, Dec. 7, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. The meeting will be in the Mayor’s Conference Room at the Dunkirk City Hall, 342 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Staff will be available to answer questions, gather feedback and provide assistance with Medicare, Social Security, veterans’ benefits and other issues related to federal agencies.
