Fredonia Farm Festival Reorganizational Meeting planned for Jan. 8

The Fredonia Farm Festival reorganizational meeting will be held Monday, Jan. 8 at the Fredonia Grange, 58 W. Main St., Fredonia, in the downstairs meeting area at 6:30 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help with this year’s 50th year celebration. Help is needed in the following areas: sponsorship, entertainment, pie contest, children’s activities, logistics, clean up, set up, food tent, public relations, graphic designs, vendors and parade. Portland Fire District’s Commissioners to meet

The reorganizational meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Portland Fire District will be held at 7 p.m. on Jan. 22. It will be immediately followed by the regular meeting. In addition, a workshop session of the board will be held at 7 p.m. on Jan. 15 for the purpose of review of the insurance coverage for the district and any other business that may be brought before the board. As with all meetings of the district, the public is welcome to attend.

Pomfret Town Board to convene Jan. 10

The Pomfret Town Board will convene for a meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, located at 9 Day Street.

Congressional Candidates to Participate in Meet ‘n Greet

The Fredonia Pomfret Democrats will be holding their monthly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at the Barker Library, 7 Day St., Fredonia at 6:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for local people to meet many of the candidates who are running to replace Tom Reed for Congress, and all are encouraged to attend.

Fredonia Village Board to meet Jan. 8

The village of Fredonia will hold its workshop and regular meeting Jan. 8 at the Village Hall. A board workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the meeting at 7:30 p.m. Individuals can watch the Jan.8 meeting by going to the Access 5 Youtube page.

Village board to hold workshop

The Silver Creek Village Board has scheduled a workshop for Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 4 p.m. in the mayor’s office. The meeting is open to the public.

Reed Staff to Hold Remote Office Hours in Fredonia

FREDONIA — Congressman Tom Reed’s staff will hold remote office hours in Fredonia on Jan. 10, from 1-2 p.m. The meeting will be in the Trustees’ Room at the Fredonia Village Hall.

Staff will be available to answer questions, gather feedback, and provide assistance with issues related to federal agencies.
