CCIDA Board of Directors meeting

The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) Board of Directors will hold a special board meeting at the CCIDA, 201 W. Third St., Board Room (second floor), Jamestown, on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 10 a.m.

Study Abroad Information Sessions scheduled at Fredonia

The Office of International Education at the State University of New York at Fredonia will be holding information sessions during late January and early February for its summer and semester study abroad programs.

Students or community members interested in the programs are encouraged to attend: Magical Iceland – Jan. 25 at 5 p.m., in the Major Alice Conference Room in the Science Center (Room 321); Arts of Italy – Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m., in Rockefeller Arts Center Room P75 (Sculpture Classroom); and Monsters of Paris – Thursday, Feb. 1 at 5:30 p.m., in Fenton Hall Room 2157.

Town of Portland Planning Board to meet

The Town of Portland Planning board will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at 87 W. Main St., Brocton. A meeting will also be held with the Chautauqua County Planning Department at 7 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

County Board of Health meets tonight

The Chautauqua County Board of Health will hold its meeting tonight at 6 p.m. in the HRC Building, 4th Floor Conference Room in Mayville. Anyone seeking further information or wishing to attend this meeting should call the Public Health Director’s Office at 753-4590.

Fredonia Education Board’s Policy Committee to meet

The Fredonia Board of Education’s Policy Committee will meet Monday, Jan. 22 at 4 p.m. in the high school library.

Firemen’s Association announces meeting date

The South Western Association of Volunteer Firemen has announced its next quarterly business meeting. It will be hosted by the Kinney Hose Company in the town of Westons Mills in Allegany County on Sunday, Jan. 21. The executive meeting will begin at noon and the general membership meeting will start at 1 p.m.

The association is comprised of volunteer firefighters and EMS providers of fire departments and rescue squads in the four counties of Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua and Erie counties of New York.
