Westfield Planning Board meeting today

Please be advised that the Village of Westfield Planning Board will hold a special work session meeting today at 6 p.m. in the North Room of Eason Hall to discuss several topics related to zoning in the village of Westfield.

St. Joseph’s Church to hold spaghetti dinner May 2

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Parish Center, 145 East Main St., Fredonia, will hold a spaghetti and meatballs dinner Wednesday, May 2 from 4 p.m. until sold out. The costs are $8 adults, $5 for children 12 and under. Take outs are available. There will also be theme baskets.

Ahira Hall Memorial Library news

The Ahira Hall Memorial Library will be holding a book sale Monday April 30 through Friday, May 18 during regular open hours, which are Mondays and Wednesdays 1 to 8 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hardcover and paperbacks, fiction and nonfiction, children and teen, DVDs, CDs and miscellaneous items will be for sale. The library is located at 37 W. Main St., Brocton.

The library will be holding a spring fund-raiser on Saturday, May 5 at 21 Brix Winery, 6654 W. Main Road, Portland from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will include author signings with books on the premises for purchase, raffle baskets, art and hors d’oeuvres. Wine tastings are available.

Meeting of the Workforce Investment/Development Board set for May 2

A meeting of the Workforce Investment/Development Board will be held on Wednesday, May 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Moon Brook Country Club,N. Main St. Extension, Jamestown.

Forestville BOE meetings this week

The Forestville central school district board of education will hold an audit committee meeting today at 3 p.m. in the superintendent’s office.

A budget hearing will be held on Thursday, May 3 in the high school library at 5 p.m. The regular monthly meeting will immediately follow at 5:10 pm.

Office for the Aging to present “Medication Management”

The Office for the Aging will present a program dealing with “Medication Management” on Wednesday, May 2 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Dunkirk Senior Center, 45 Cliffstar Court.
