Trolley tours set for today
As part of Fredonia History Days this weekend, Pomfret Town Historian Todd Langworthy will be giving guided historical tours of the village on the Village Trolley.
‘Two tours will be given on Saturday morning, with the first being at 9 a.m. and the second at 10 a.m. Tickets are currently on sale at the Fredonia Parks and Recreation Office on the second floor of Village Hall for a minimum of $5 donation each. Donations accepted in cash only, with limited seating available. Any remaining tickets may be purchased at the Information Booth in Barker Commons before each tour, but only on a first come first serve basis.

Anderson-Lee Library program change
The Anderson-Lee Library program: “Tinker Tuesday on a Saturday,” originally scheduled for July 21, instead will be held today, July 14 at 11 a.m. This activity is open to all ages, featured time to “tinker and build” with a variety of materials, fun and creativity. Registration is required. Call 934-3468 or stop by. The library is located at 43 Main St., Silver Creek.
Pitching for Paws Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser set for Sunday
The second Annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for Pitching for Paws at the Fireman’s Club, 21 Jackson St., Silver Creek on Sunday, July 15 from 1 to 5 p.m. There will be a Chinese auction and raffles. Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for children (10 and under) and take out will be available. The organizers are also taking up a collection of dog/cat food, collars, leashes, toys, etc. to split up among the rescues/shelters. Bring any of these items to donate and be entered for a prize! Proceeds go to benefit Lakeshore Humane Society, Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue, Sadie’s Safe Harbor Canine Rescue and City of Buffalo Animal Shelter. The Sheridan Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 16 at Sheridan Bay Park at the lower pavilion. Members are asked to bring a dish to pass and their beverage.
NYS OPRHP Allegany Region Commission to meet
Jay Bailey, Regional Director for the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, Allegany Region, announces that the Allegany Region Commission will meet at Midway State Park Sunset Room, 4859 Route 430, Bemus Point on Tuesday, July 17 at 2 p.m.
