Concord Spellbinders Toastmasters Club ‘Looking Confident on Stage’ program set for Wednesday

Concord Spellbinders Toastmasters Club will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at SUNY Fredonia, Jewett Hall, Room 118.

Christine Wolbert has prepared her presentation on looking confident on stage. Join this session and bring your confidence to a new level as you present your next speech. This program is open to the public.

Chautauqua County Genealogical Society will hold annual picnic

The Chautauqua County Genealogical Society will hold its annual picnic today from 3-8 p.m. at the Red House, Frisbee Road, Cassadaga. The potluck meal will be held at 5:30 p.m. for those who are interested. Table service, coffee, tea and water will be provided. The meeting will take place from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Tour the 1800’s brick house and bring a story or artifacts of interest to share with the group. Members, friends and local historians will have displays, stories and publications available. The event is open to the public.

Fredonia school board meeting tonight

The next regular meeting of the Fredonia Board of Education will be held today at 6 p.m. in the High School Library.

Dunkirk Board of Ed to hold special meeting

The Dunkirk Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. regarding a personnel matter. The board will hold its monthly workshop immediately following the special meeting. Both are open to the public.

The League of Women Voters of Chautauqua County will have a booth at the 2018 Fredonia Farm Festival on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The drawing will be held on Saturday at 6 p.m. and winners will be contacted by phone.
