Peace Park sponsors repurposed art event

As part of the summer-long series of events, Labyrinthine Ways Peace Park invites the community to use their creative side in a way that both helps the environment and builds community and submit re-purposed art projects for permanent display at the Peace Park.

Be creative — recycle that old dinner plate into a garden flower, turn old aluminum cans into a sculpture or robot, make a bird feeder out of an old teapot. The possibilities are fun and endless.

The event will take place today at 2 p.m. Art projects will be displayed in the Peace Park. Refreshments will be provided, and Board members will be on hand to guide community members through the park and answer any questions about the Park, its mission and vision.

Labyrinthine Ways Peace Park is located at 3829 Franklin Ave., and parking is available. Any questions regarding this event or the Peace Park may be directed to Peter Miller at 467-6030 or like the Facebook page at Labyrinthine Ways Peace Park.
