Brocton BOE to meet Wednesday

The Brocton Central School Board of Education will conduct its regular board meeting on Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m. in the conference room.

Financial Planning for Alzheimer’s

The Alzheimer’s Association WNY Chapter will present a workshop Legal and Financial Planning for Alzheimer’s on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Patterson Library, 40 S. Portage St., Westfield. The event is free and open to the public.

Lakeshore Humane Society Pet Adoption Evening Wednesday

The Lakeshore Humane Society will hold a mid-week Pet Adoption Evening at its Adoption Center on Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. The center is located at 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk. Come to see the facility, and meet some of the dogs and cats who need caring homes.

If unable to come to an adoption event, call 672-1991 to arrange an appointment to see the dogs and cats awaiting adoption. (One must be 21 years of age or older to adopt a pet.) There will also be an Adoption Day on Sept. 22.

While at the LHS Adoption Center, check out the “Cat’s Meow” Boutique. Also, there is a collection bin in the Adoption Center lobby for refundable bottles and cans.
