Hunting for Halloween, harvest-themed homes

Not-So-Scary Superhero storytime at Barker Library today

What are you going to be for Halloween? Come to the Barker Library, 7 Day St., Fredonia in your costume and meet some real-life superheroes at the “Not-So-Scary Superhero Storytime” on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. The Superheroes will read stories and pose for photos that you can share with all your friends!

No registration is required. All children welcome!

Willowbrook Park Cemetery annual meeting

The annual meeting of Willowbrook Park Cemetery, Central Avenue, Dunkirk, will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 10:30 a.m. in the cemetery chapel. All plot and columbarium niche owners may attend.

Southern Tier Classic Chevy Club planned for Sunday

The Southern Tier Classic Chevy Club presents its Greg Neid Memorial Car Show at Peek’n Peak Ski Resort, 1405 Old Road, Clymer, on Sunday, Oct. 14. Registration is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the show is from 1 to 4 p.m., rain or shine. This event is open to all makes, models and years of antique, classic and special interest vehicles. The entry fee is $10 per car. Awards will be announced at 4 p.m. The show is held on the lower golf course across from the main lodge and will easily accommodate 1000+ vehicles with a designated area for car trailers.

This year, Dennis Gage from TV’s “MY CLASSIC CAR” will share in the event while filming for one of his future programs.

South Dayton Holiday Craft Show planned for Nov. 3

The South Dayton Fire Belles are sponsoring the South Dayton Holiday Craft Show on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the South Dayton Firemen’s Activity Hall, 34 Maple St., South Dayton. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be present for photos from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., so bring a camera. A chicken and biscuits lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost for a senior or child under 12 is $7, or for an adult, $9. Some table spaces for crafts are still available.
