Fredonia Central School lists upcoming winter concerts

The Fredonia Central School will offer a number of winter concerts in the coming weeks. The school is located at 425 E. Main St.

On Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Elementary Winter Concert #1 will include performances of the Third and Fourth Grade choruses and Select Chorus. The snow date is Wednesday, Dec. 5.

On Friday, Dec. 7, Elementary Winter Concert #2 will feature the First and Second Grade Choruses at 1:30 p.m. The snow date is Monday, Dec. 10.

On Tuesday, Dec. 11, the Middle School Winter Concert will take place 6/7:15 p.m. Performing groups include Jazz Band, Mixed Chorus, Hillbilly Harmonics, Choraliers, MS Bands and MS Orchestras. The snow date is Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Tuesday, Dec. 18 the High School Winter Concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. Featured musical groups include Jazz Ensemble, String Orchestra, Chamber Choir, Madrigals Singers and Symphonic Band. The snow date is Wednesday, Dec. 19.

Roberts Road Development Corp. board sets meeting

The Board of Directors of Roberts Road Development Corporation (RRDC) will meet at 9:15 a.m., Dec. 6 in room 214 of the SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk.

The purpose of the meeting will be to approve annual reports and future budget projections.

WACS concerts set

Westfield Academy and Central School, located at 203 E. Main St., has announced its winter concert schedule. On Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7:15 p.m., performing groups include Band 7/8, Chorus 4/5, Chorus 7/8, Handbells grade 9.

On Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 7:15 p.m., the concert will feature Westwinds, Senior Band, Senior Chorus, and Handbells grades 10 to 12.

Old-fashioned Barn Dance set for Dec. 7

An Old-fashioned Barn Dance will take place Friday, Dec. 7 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Fredonia Grange No. 1, 58 W. Main St., Fredonia. Costs are: adults: $7, students: $5, ages 12 and under free. Dances include squares, contras, mixers and more. The event is beginner friendly, family friendly. No experience is needed. For details, call Joe at 679-8426.
