Gowanda Ambulance Service annual meeting set

The Gowanda Ambulance Service will hold its annual meeting Monday, Jan. 14 at the Village of Gowanda Municipal building. Topics include the annual president’s report, the annual treasurer’s report, the general manager’s annual report and all other annual areas of business. As always, this meeting is open to the public.

Westfield plans community walk sessions

Community walk sessions with Robert Dyment at Westfield Academy and Central School will begin this month. Participants can choose to walk the halls on Tuesday and Thursdays for one hour starting at 6 p.m. The community walk sessions will continue through May 30 with holiday breaks excluded.

Family and Caregiver Group for Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities

The next meeting of the Dunkirk/Fredonia Family and Caregiver Group for Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities will take place Wednesday, Jan. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Western New York DDSO, 258 E. Main St., Fredonia. The group meets the third Wednesday of each month. Subsequent dates are Feb. 20, March 20, April 17, May 15 and June 19.

The group provides a welcoming environment for parents, family members and other caregivers of individuals with developmental disabilities to meet, share experiences, ask questions and receive support.

Meetings are free to attend and all are welcome. To attend, RSVP to www.parentnetwork.org or 332-4170 or info@parentnetworkwny.org. Funding for this group is provided by a Family Support Services grant from the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities.
