Fredonia/Pomfret Easter Program set for Saturday

The Fredonia/Town of Pomfret Easter Program will take place Saturday, April 13. Doors open at 1:45 p.m. on the Main Street Campus, Fredonia Elementary Cafeteria and Activity Room, E. Main Street, Fredonia. The program is designed for children. At 2:30 p.m., entertainment will be offered by In Jest. Call Tom Battaglia at the Recreation Department in Village Hall for details.

Evans Town Board to meet today

The Evans Town Board will hold a special town board meeting today, April 12, at 9 a.m. for the purpose of entering executive session regarding personnel matters of a particular individual and any other matters that may come before them.

Holy Trinity Church Stations of the Cross set for this evening

Holy Trinity Church will hold its 15th annual Stations of the Cross this evening at 6:30 p.m. at the church, located at 1032 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Sixteen contemporary songs by artists such as Billy Joel, Bryan Adams, Josh Groban, Eric Clapton, Our Lady Peace and others follow each station and reflection. The music will be performed live by Holy Trinity’s musicians and vocalists. This year, artwork of Paul Abate will be incorporated. The experience is free and open to everyone of all ages and faiths. Chapter #459 Vietnam Veterans of America will hold its monthly meeting on Sunday, April 14 at 11 a.m. at John T. Murray VFW Post #1017, 113 Deer St. in Dunkirk. For more information, contact Danny S. McGill, chapter #459 secretary, at 366-2287.

Group for Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities to meet

The next meeting of the Dunkirk/Fredonia Family and Caregiver Group for Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities will take place Wednesday, April 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Western New York DDSO, 258 E. Main St., Fredonia. The group meets the third Wednesday of each month. Subsequent dates are May 15 and June 19.

The group provides a welcoming environment for parents, family members and other caregivers of individuals with developmental disabilities to meet, share experiences, ask questions and receive support.

Meetings are free to attend and all are welcome. To attend, RSVP to www.parentnetwork.org or 332-4170 or info@parentnetworkwny.org. Funding for this group is provided by a Family Support Services grant from the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities.
