Devyn Agett joins CASAC Board of Directors
Devyn Agett has been elected to the Chautauqua Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Council (CASAC) Board of Directors to serve one three-year term.
Since 1974, Chautauqua Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Council (CASAC), a United Way partner agency, has provided prevention education and community awareness regarding alcohol and other drugs. CASAC is the only New York State Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) approved and supported alcohol and other drug prevention agency in Chautauqua County. Devyn Agett is a health teacher at Persell Middle School, where she is co-chair of the Persell Produce Patch and Garden Club, and co-coach of the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports Team, Ski Club advisor, Persell Leadership Team member, and Family and Community Engagement member. Devyn has been with Jamestown Public Schools for five years and previously taught health and physical education at Pine Valley Jr./Sr. High School.
Agett received her bachelor of science in health and physical education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2011 and was named the Education Departments Outstanding Senior and received the Student Athlete of the Year award. She received her masters of science in health promotion and exercise science from California University of Pennsylvania in 2013.
Agetts’ past community involvement includes serving as President of her Health and Physical Education Majors Club at Edinboro, PA and serving on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
