American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course set
The American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course will be held April 10-13 and April 17 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gowanda High School pool.
The cost of the class is $225 and includes the lifeguard manual, pocket mask, certification card and 30 hours of instruction.
Participants will learn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies with the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training. This course will teach participants the skills and knowledge needed to prepare one for a variety of scenarios in and around the water.
With this lifeguard training, participants will learn how quick response times and effective preparation are vital to being a lifeguard while also understanding the crucial elements in helping to prevent drowning and injuries.
Anyone interested in taking the class must be 15 years of age to attend. Contact Mrs. Kysor at 532-3638 for details. Participants must pre-register by April 5, as there is a minimum of six students to hold this course.
