Collins Center, Gowanda Memorial Day parades Memorial Day services will take place in Dunkirk at 9 a.m. Monday.Breakfast was prepared at the American Legion Post 409. Veterans were honored with a free meal this morning.Many filled the Legion with laughs and smiles for Memorial Day.The room prepares for the parade that started a few hours after the breakfast.The Collins Center Memorial Day parade went down Route 39.The Springville High School band performed during the parade.The lineup behind the band was a cavalcade of Collins/Collins Center fire trucks, Gowanda Shrine Club and many more.The American Flag flies above downtown Gowanda for Memorial Day.The Gowanda parade began at the American Legion and went through downtown.The Gowanda High School band backed the fire companies in the parade.The Gowanda Middle School band followed in the parade as well.
