Pine Valley teacher commended by county VFW
The county-wide Veterans of Foreign Wars recognized social studies teacher Daniel McNeill of the Pine Valley Central High School, commending him for his teaching excellence and his school community impact participation in large numbers.
Most importantly, he has motivated a school district in honoring all military personnel through the entire year, something that has been missing from this community for many years.
A number of students are now volunteering at the local Cherry Creek VFW building and providing wall military art display for the Post. The submission of the Patriot’s Pen Essay and Audio Voice of Democracy was at an impressive all time high.
McNeill is a qualified teacher and fully meets the criteria for Citizenship Teacher Award.
On May 18 the Veterans and VFW Auxiliary presented the Teaching Excellence Award.
Also, the honoree will be the guest speaker at the Cherry Creek Memorial Day Event at 10:30 a.m.
