City housing to get look, thanks to grant
The city of Dunkirk Department of Planning and Development has received grant funding to address issues related to vacant and blighted housing. As part of the data collection phase of this effort, local volunteers will be evaluating housing and neighborhood conditions throughout Dunkirk.
Volunteers will be walking through city neighborhoods starting in mid-September through early October, performing all work from the public right-of-way. The data collected will be used to better understand general levels of investment and disinvestment in the housing stock.
Volunteers will not collect any information from residents or information related to the enforcement of local codes. For questions, please contact Community Development Planner Matthew Bourke at 366-9878 or email@example.com
