Warren M. Kelly seeks re-election as Silver Creek trustee

SILVER CREEK — Warren M. Kelly has announced that he is running for re-election for another two (2) year term for Village of Silver Creek Trustee on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 Fall Election. He is endorsed by the Village of Silver Creek Republican and Conservative Parties.

Kelly is a lifelong resident of the Village of Silver Creek. Kelly graduated from Silver Creek Central School. He studied at Genesee Community College for two years in the computer science field. He graduated from Erie Community College Suma Cum Laude with an AAS Degree in construction technology. Kelly has 37 years’ experience in the architectural, engineering and construction Industry.

He has 24 years’ experience as an engineer II with the Chautauqua County, Department of Public Facilities’ Engineering and Building and Grounds Department. He was a construction project manager and coordinator for Chautauqua County Buildings and Bridge Projects. He also has 20-plus years’ experience at the Chautauqua County Home working as capital building projects manager and coordinator and three years as supervisor of maintenance, Cleaning and Laundry Departments. Kelly has also been a licensed New York state code enforcement officer for over 25 years. Kelly retired from the Chautauqua County Engineering Department five years ago.

Kelly has been involved in the Community most of his adult life. He is past member of the NYS Western Regional Board of Appeals. He is past chairman of the Village of Silver Creek Zoning Board of Appeals. He is a member of Huntley Hose Company No. 1 and Silver Creek Fire Department for over 25 years. He is a past president of Huntley Hose Company No. 1. He also was an active member of the Silver Creek Emergency Squad for several years. Kelly was a coach/manager in the Silver Creek Little League program for 13 years. He was a past president and member of the Silver Creek Jaycees. He was a Director in the Silver Creek Festival of Grapes for 15 years. He was a past member of the Silver Creek Community Development Corporation.

Kelly resides at 17 Buffalo Street, Silver Creek. He is the father of two outstanding children, Kaine Kelly and Kristy Kelly Wasik, grandfather of six blessed grandchildren, Roan, Rhys, Grace, Jackson, Ashlyn and Kaiya.

Kelly will strive for a transparent common sense government. He has promised to control excessive spending and maintain a tax structure that all the residents can afford. He will look into more shared services wherever possible with the Town of Hanover and the county.
