The Chautauqua Post Office and the Chautauqua Community held a food collection drive at Chautauqua Institution during the 2017 summer season and into the fall, benefiting the Mayville Food Pantry with more than 100 bags of non-perishable food collected. Pictured from left are Lou Wineman and Cass Wineman delivering some of the food from the Chautauqua Community food drive. These generous donations helped many in need within the Chautauqua Lake Central School District area. The Mayville Food Pantry is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (closed holidays) and is located at the Cheryl H. Steinbach Outreach Center at 99 S. Erie St., Mayville. St. Paul’s Thrift Shop is also located in the same building on the first floor and is open Monday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
