Fredonia Place donates to Maria relief effort

Donations continued to roll in Friday to support the relief efforts in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. Residents and staff at Fredonia Place donated 110 gallons of water and $860 to support the cause. Dunkirk City Clerk Edwin Ramos is pictured receiving the check at the relief collection zone, located at the corner of Washington Avenue and Lakeshore Drive, from Shannon Anzalone, activity director for Fredonia Place. Also pictured are Mike Ferguson, marketing and sales director for Fredonia Place, and Dunkirk City Court Judge John Kuzdale, who was volunteering at the relief collection area. Donations also poured in from P&G Foods and Gary Damico, owner, Northern Chautauqua Catholic School and Putnam Record Insurance Agency. In addition, the Dunkirk Fire Department in cooperation with members of the Dunkirk Professional Firefighters Local 616 will gather donations in an effort to aid the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Fire Department members will be on location at the relief collection site today from 3-7 p.m.
