Fugitive may be in the Western New York area

U.S Marshals say a fugitive being sought may be traveling in the Western New York area.

The U.S. Marshal’s Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force say they’re looking for assistance in locating Joshua Gurto and an unidentified man. Gurto is wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Conneaut Police Department in northern Ohio for aggravated murder and the rape of a 13-month-old girl.

Gurto and the unknown male were last seen Oct. 13 in Girard, Pa., possibly driving a dark grey Ford F-150. Marshals say they believe the truck has New York state plates.

Gurto, 37, is approximately 5-foot-10 and 145 pounds. A reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.

Anyone with information on the location of Gurto or the man traveling with him are asked to call 1-866-4WANTED or text keyword WANTED and tip to 84711. Tipsters can remain anonymous and reward money is available if the information directly leads to the arrest of Gurto.
