Incubator to host Hispanic networking event today
The Fredonia Technology Incubator will host a Hispanic entrepreneurial networking event, designed to engage with local Hispanic entrepreneurs, provide an opportunity to network with other business owners and learn about entrepreneurial support and services provided by the incubator, today, Nov. 15, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Dunkirk Mayor Willie Rosas will speak at the gathering. Successful entrepreneur Matt Cortes, co-owner of AAL-In Transport, LLC, and an incubator client, will be a featured speaker. Attendees must register online or on the incubator’s homepage at www.fredonia.edu/incubator.
Community leaders, entrepreneurs, incubator clients, Fredonia students and faculty and interested community members are encouraged to attend the free event. An array of ethnic food, including beans, rice, pork, chicken and tamales, will be catered by Taqueria Mexicana.
“This is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs of all sorts to get things moving,” Mr. Cortes said. “Over the last six months, with help from the incubator, our startup company has accomplished significant growth.” Cortes will speak to overcoming the risk that comes with starting a business.
